Westford has a most charming village green surrounded by magnificent antique homes giving the historic district a picturesque character. Incorporated in 1729, this larger town of 22,000 features rolling hills, lakes and pastoral scenes throughout its 31.33 square miles of land area.
There are a number of town and private beaches, a vibrant community center, a fine school system, as well as a family friendly ski area. Local traditions include a May Apple Blossom Festival and parade, and a Strawberry Festival in June.
Westford is home to many hi-tech, research and development and other well know companies. Concord's Emerson Hospital operates a large satellite facility on a commercial section of route 110 where other health care providers are located The image of Westford is one of a bustling fully featured suburban town along within the interstate 495 corridor.
